Conway and Whitman was a CBS Radio evening talk radio program, web streaming and broadcasting throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County, California metropolitan areas at 97.1 Free FM (KLSX). The show ran from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, hosted by Tim Conway Jr. and Brian Whitman between 2005 and 2008. After the March 2008 departure of Brian Whitman, the show reverted to The Tim Conway Jr. Show rather than adopting a new co-host and remained that way until 2009 when KLSX flipped formats.
After the radio station changed formats from talk radio to a top 40 hits station, attempts to retrieve show archives from KLSX was met with refusal citing that "the owners of the show [Conway and Whitman] are ultimately responsible for keeping copies of their own shows" and that KLSX has wiped all data that was part of the old format.
The radio station destroyed all digital copies of all shows to make room for the new format even failing to provide copies to the show owners, Tim Conway Jr. and Brian David Whitman. But one fan had kept copies of most of the shows that he downloaded as podcasts prior to the KLSX changing formats. He then made them available to the public once again with permission from Brian David Whitman with no rights reserved.
The show highlights what life was like in and around 2005 as most shows were about popular topics.
